Who We Are

Our Capabilities

PASSUR Integrated Traffic Management (PITM) is an integrated set of web-based decision-support solutions that helps users manage all aspects of a flight in terms of both movement (arrival phase, surface phase, departure phase) and time (preemptive, live/tactical, post-operations). PITM is built on the following PASSUR capabilities:

Integrated Surveillance Network

PASSUR operates one of the most extensive private aircraft and airspace surveillance networks in the world, deployed at more than 150 airports. All the information acquired by the network – along with additional surveillance sources (including ADS-B, ASDE-X, Mode S, en Route Radar, Airline OOOI data, ACARS, and fleet databases) – feeds into specialized databases to support predictive, real-time, and post-operational requirements. PASSUR databases consolidate multiple overlapping data sets to ensure completeness, accuracy, the fulfillment of the specific operational requirements, and the normalization of data for a single-source authoritative record of operational performance.

Collaborative Software

Many PASSUR solutions allow for instant information sharing, coordination of effort, access to best practice protocols, and a common operating picture across a wide and deep range of users in the aviation community. This includes onscreen alerting to key information changes, instant messaging, and instant emailing.

Predictive Analytics

Our decision-support solutions are supported by predictive analytics algorithms, which leverage extensive historical data mining and pattern recognition to predict a range of operating conditions in advance. Our predictive analytics are built on real-time surveillance from the PASSUR proprietary network, which gives us the necessary breadth and granularity to support detailed scenario building and pattern recognition. PASSUR predictive analytics are used to alert to specific future events—such as holding, diversions, imbalances in demand and capacity, runway changes, estimated times of arrival—and to generate decision recommendations based on those accurate predictions.

Flight Visualization

PASSUR’s web-based, air and surface, gate-to-gate, visual flight tracking delivers integrated air-to-ground display of flights and airspace status, providing essential information for effective Diversion Management, Arrival Management, Airspace Optimization, and Tarmac Delay Management. Driven by PASSUR radar, the view of the airspace condition (live or replayed) is a true representation of actual aircraft movement and relative positions. Visual metrics tracked include holding, flow-through fixes, stack analysis, aircraft sequencing, spacing between aircraft, length of final, and aircraft vectoring. Because of our independent acquisition of beacon code and tail number, PASSUR flight tracking can operate independently of ASDI, which means it will continue to track even if/when the ASDI feed fails.

Surface Management

PASSUR’s Surface Management capabilities combine air and ground surveillance data, visual tracking of aircraft in the airspace and on the airport surface, decision-support software, and key performance indicator dashboards. Major components of our Surface Management program are:

  • Consolidation and processing of all information for the en route, terminal, and surface phases of flight activity. Surface surveillance alone is not sufficient to ensure successful surface-management decision-making.
  • Identifying and capturing the right metrics and displaying them on web dashboards in a way that delivers the most relevant, user-friendly, and actionable information in support of specific business objectives.
  • Our software solutions are designed to enable users to manage by exception and target the most expensive problems.
